Senozon – Who We Are

Senozon is an international consulting and technology company with specialization in location planning and site assessment, transport planning and systems as well as mobility research, software engineering and information distribution.

 

Incorporated in 2010 and operational since 2011, Senozon AG – a spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich – brings the achievements of more than 10 years of research into market. The company is managed by Michael Balmer and Marcel Rieser.

 

Dr. Michael Balmer

Dr. Michael BalmerMichael Balmer studied computer science at ETH Zurich, followed by a PhD in the area of demand generation for agent-based transport simulations at the institute of transport planning at ETH Zurich. He has several years of experience in managing transport-related projects for clients.

 

 

Dr. Marcel Rieser

Dr. Marcel RieserAfter his study in computer science at ETH Zurich, Marcel Rieser did a PhD at TU Berlin on the topic of agent-based transport simulations. During this time, he implemented many core parts of MATSim, the simulation that senozon now uses on a daily basis. He is still involved with the further development of MATSim.
