Senozon Lauches Unique Location Analysis Tool

The agent based mobility model MATSim is the leading tool to analyse traffic patterns and mobility behavior, but is only accessible to experts—until now.

Senozon developed the first, easy to use web application, giving everybody access to the rich results to one of the best mobility models available world wide: Senozon Locations. At the push of a button, the web application delievers detailed information regarding pedestrian frequencies, catchment areas or potential clients at any location in Switzerland.

During an introduction phase open until October 30, 2014, an analysis of one location can be obtained for only 200 Swiss Francs (excluding VAT, when ordering a report for 5 locations). For each of your chosen locations you get a detailed report containing information about catchment areas, client potentials, and pedestrian frequencies, distinguished by time of day and focused on a freely defined person group.

Register now for free at www.locations.senozon.com and test the new, unique features that Senozon Locations has to offer to you!

Zürich meets New York

From May 16 to 23, 2014, several events took place in New York that presented several aspects of Zurich, all under the umbrella event "Zürich meets New York". One of those aspects was technology, for which ETH Zurich was a partner. The agent-based mobility simulation MATSim, created at ETH Zurich and now being developed at ETH, TU Berlin, Senozon and other places world-wide, was also chosen to be demonstrated in New York. For this reason, Senozon created a MATSim model of New York together with Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global consulting firm with offices in New York.

Senozon Locations: Easy Location Analytics

The agent-based mobility simulation MATSim cannot only be used for transport and infrastructure planning. At Senozon we use our MATSim model of Switzerland also for the analysis of locations. Thanks to the very detailed modelling, reports can be generated that differentiate the people passing by a location based on the time of day and by specific user groups. Until recently, such reports could only be generated by performing extensive data collection at the location itself. Senozon now provides this functionality in an easy to use web application: Senozon Locations!

After many months of development and rigorous internal tests, we're happy to present Senozon Locations (German only at the moment) to you. The web applications enables you to perform various analyses for arbitrary locations in all of Switzerland. A special focus lies on the analysis of pedestrian frequencies, for which the potential frequencies at a location can be calculated, filtered by demographic user groups.

Are you interested? Senozon Locations is currently in public beta test. Write us if you want to be among the first persons testing and using the exiting new service!

MATSim is used world wide – also in Toronto. In a recent video report by GlobalNews Toronto about the problems of daily commuter patterns, Professor Khandker Habib explains the situation in Toronto while in the background, a MATSim simulation visualized in our software Via can be seen on his computer (00:35 and 00:45 into the video).
