Michael Balmer

Michael Balmer studied computer science at ETH Zurich, followed by a PhD in the area of demand generation for agent-based transport simulations at the institute of transport planning at ETH Zurich. He has several years of experience in managing transport-related projects for clients.

Marcel Rieser

CTO Senozon AG

After his study in computer science at ETH Zurich, Marcel Rieser did a PhD at TU Berlin on the topic of agent-based transport simulations. During this time, he implemented many core parts of MATSim, the simulation that senozon now uses on a daily basis. He is still involved with the further development of MATSim.

Jan Fülscher

President, Business Development Senozon AG

With his superb knowledge of the Swiss founders' scene, Jan was a strong supporter of Senozon from the very beginning. As president of the board and responsible for Business Devlopment, he steers Senozon's strategic future development.

Marco Früh

CFO Senozon AG

Marco has over 20 years of consulting and management experience at companies such as PWC, McKinsey and Gartner, and most recently as the Managing Director in charge of Business Engineering at Swiss Re. He holds an MBA from the University of Zurich and a diploma in the Arts & Techniques of Film Making from the London International Film School.

Dariush Daftarian

Head of Sales, Senozon AG

After working in various editorial offices and publishing houses in Switzerland, Dariush Daftarian worked as marketing manager and consultant in the United States and in France. He not only realized numerous advertising campaigns, but also set up marketing teams in Switzerland and abroad and realized strategy projects.

Thomas Haupt

Managing Director, Senozon Deutschland GmbH

From 1978 to 1986, Thomas Haupt studied Transportation Planning, Computer Science and Operations Research and worked as research fellow at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. He joined PTV Planung Transport und Verkehr GmbH in 1986 when the company had just eight employees. Until 2012, he held various positions at PTV Group: from project engineer and head of the Transport Modelling department to member of the Executive Board. During his time at PTV, he was the recognised visionary of the transportation modelling suite PTV Vision (VISUM & VISSIM).

Daniel Röder

Project Manager, Senozon Deutschland GmbH

Daniel Röder studied traffic engineering at TU Berlin, concentrating on microscopic transport models. After three month as a visiting scientist at the University of Pretoria (South Africa) and six months as research associate at TU Berlin (FG VSP), he joined Senozon Germany in 2013.

Christoph Dobler

Project Manager, Senozon AG

After various studies at NTB Buchs, TU München and at the Hochschule Liechtenstein, Christoph Dobler got his PhD at ETH Zürich at the Institute for Transport Planning and Systems (IVT). The topic of his dissertation was the agent-based transport simulation of extraordinary events. Since 2014, he works as a project manager for Senozon AG.

Andreas Neumann

Project Manager, Senozon Deutschland GmbH

After his study of traffic engineering at TU Berlin, Andreas Neumann earned a doctorate in the area of service planning for public transportation. During this time, he led several projects for research and industry. After many years of collaboration with the founders of Senozon AG, he directly works for Senozon Germany since 2015.

Pol Budmiger

Key Accounts, Senozon AG

After his study in the area of natural sciences at ETH Zurich, Pol grew a geo-informatics company to more than 100 employees. Nowadays, he is responsible for key accounts at Senozon.

Christian Maag

Sales Manager, Senozon AG

After a youth characterized by sport, Christian went for a Bachelor degree in Business Management at the University of St. Gallen. After receiving his degree, he worked for a few years in the insurance business before finishing his Master's degree at the University of St. Gallen. Before starting at Senozon in 2016, he worked as a marketing consultant in different industries.

Lukas Bühler

Sales Manager, Senozon AG

Lukas Bühler studied Environmental Sciences at ETH Zurich and lives in Zurich together with his family. He likes swimming, literature and music, if he's not busy with Senozon or his private company Carbon Queen.

Phillip Kousz

Sales Manager, Senozon AG

Phillip received his Master's degree in Management and Economics at the University of Zurich. Next to other projects in the Swiss startup scene, he is responsible for customer contacts at Senozon since 2016.

Orestis Valanidis

Sales Manager, Senozon AG

Orestis has a Bachelor of Law from the University Zurich. Next to his job as a lawyer assistant in the field of construction law, he is responsible for customer contacts since 2016.

Julian Lohf

Sales Manager, Senozon Austria GmbH

After his study in Economics at the University of Mannheim, Julian came to Vienna in 2013 for his Master's degree in Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Since 2015, he works on his PhD on Economics theory and is responsible for Senozon customers in Austria since 2016.

Moriz Lanzerstorfer

Sales Manager, Senozon Austria GmbH

Moriz studied Business and Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. After having worked in various startups and in real estate, he works since the middle of 2016 as a Sales Manager for Senozon Austria.

Fabian Pauls

Sales Manager, Senozon Deutschland GmbH

After his training as metal worker, Fabian started his Bachelor' studies in Sales Engineering and Product Management at Ruhr-University. In October 2016, he started his Master's studies while also joining Senozon as a Sales Manager.

Karin Engeli

Management Assistant, Senozon AG

Karin has perennial experience in backoffice management. She organized and coordinated many special events, for example the «TangoWoche» in Zurich. She dances Tango and teaches the passionate dance on evenings and weekends. Since February 2017, she supports Senozon's Management in Zurich.

Nora Adam

Marketing & Market Research, Senozon AG

After her Bachelor degree in Business Economics at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Nora collected first practical experiences in the finance branch. She has an internship at Senozon for half a year, starting in April 2017. After the internship, she plans to study for a Master's Degree in Business Innovation at the University of St. Gallen.

Scientific Advisory Board

Prof. Dr. Kay W. Axhausen leads the institute for transport planning at ETH Zurich. His research group is an important contributor to MATSim, the agent-based mobility simulation used and co-developed by Senozon.

Prof. Dr. Kai Nagel

Prof. Dr. Kai Nagel leads the Transport Systems Planning and Transport Telematics research group at TU Berlin. His research group is an important contributor to MATSim, the agent-based mobility simulation used and co-developed by Senozon.
